For nearly two
decades Four Star Rodeo Company has been producing rodeos throughout
California, Oregon and Nevada. Four Star Rodeo Company provides the
livestock for over fifty rodeos per year. Including the California
Cowboys Pro Rodeo Association Finals, Senior Pro National Finals,
Indian National Finals, California High School Rodeo State Finals,
Silver State Invitational Rodeo and the All Indian World Finals.
The company’s trademarks include dramatic openings, top notch
contract personnel, and of course award winning livestock (animal
athletes).
Being athletic is usually found in your genes, the same is true in
the animal world. Horsemen know that if you want a running horse,
you look for running horse bloodlines, usually thoroughbred going
back to great sires such as Three Bars, Easy Jet or Bold Ruler.
Should you want a cow horse you need quarter horse bloodlines
perhaps going back to the great Doc Bar, King Fritz or Poco Lena.
Well, if you want them to buck. That’s right, you want them to buck.
Then you need a bucking horse in their bloodlines.
Four Star Rodeo Company has been raising bucking horses for the past
several years. “Super Star” one of the Company’s great bucking
horses has been the sire or grand sire to many of the horses in the
herd.
“Morning Star” is a daughter of Super Star, she is a nine year old
mare that is used in the saddle bronc riding event. With a foal by
her side and two older colts home in the pasture we arc excited to
see how her offspring will perform. Watch for “Morning Glory” when
she makes her debut on the arena stage in the spring of 2005.
“Star Struck” is another daughter of Super Star. She is a great
little mare that bucks hard every time. The cowboys love to draw
her, they know that if they ride her they can win. Star Struck has
won the distinguished honors of California Cowboys Professional
Rodeo Association ‘Bareback Horse of the Year” in 2000, 2001 and
2003.
About ten years ago Four Star Rodeo Company had the good fortune of
acquiring a keen little mare named “Beaver Gaskins” she really
enjoys her job (bucking off cowboys). she works less than 16 seconds
per week. Whether throwing off cowboys or taking them to the pay
window she continues to do it with the style that earned her the
award of “1999 and 2002 “CCPRA Bareback Horse of the Year”.
To be a really good horse, whether it be race horse, cow horse or
bucking horse, they have to like what they do. That’s what makes
them great, you can’t make a horse buck if he or she doesn’t want
to.
NO BULL ABOUT IT... Four Star Rodeo Company has tough bulls.
“Frenchy”, the CCPRA’s Bucking Bull of the Year for 2000. Born to
buck, Frenchy proved worthy of his ancestry as he went unridden for
the year 2000. A descendant of the great “Wolf Man”, Frenchy has
been ridden only two times in the past four years.
And then there is b Jo” the pet at the Four Star Ranch. Don’t
mistake his gentle demeanor when it comes to his bucking ability. As
docile as he may be around the ranch, he can really turn it on when
the chute gate opens.
Such stock is the challenge which draws the top cowboys and cowgirls
to compete in a Four Star rodeo.
Be ready for
exciting, rockin’ and rollin’ rodeo when Four Star Rodeo Company
comes to town.
